And not because I am not good at it or I'm doing badly in it... just because I would rather be doing soooo many other things right now. For example, browsing Facebook looking at everyone's pages... scrapping... or really any other school work.
Fact of the matter is that I went out tonight after work with some people and had a great time. Had a couple glasses of wine... and really, Stats is the furthest thing from my mind right now... yet I have a quiz due tonight. And I have no motivation other than "I have to have this class to graduate." And if I don't graduate, I don't start grad school next fall. And if I don't start grad school next fall, then my whole life is over, because then I won't be done when I want to be done. Which, FYI, is in 2 years and 7 months. That's right, I'm counting it down, month by month, minute by minute... I feel like I will never be done, and it certainly will never be December!

New Addiction
So, it seems I have fallen off the blogging wagon once again. It's because of my new addiction. A little thing called facebook. Anyone familiar with it? Yea, so if you want to know what's going on in the life of Deah (which is very exciting and interesting by the way...), then get a facebook and be my friend! Otherwise, I'm afraid your S.O.L.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm sure I'll be back for a little better update sometime. I'm not completely abandoning the blog thing, I just don't have time, what with school and work, and most importantly, facebook, lol.

New Stuff
So, working 5 out of 6 days 12 hour shifts really makes me tired. But, I did manage to get a couple things done in the last week or so. Here's 2-4 of 50 for the stash diet:
(This is a wall hanging, I just don't have the ribbon on it yet.)

Ok, I just wanted to get those posted. Sorry for the shortness and inevitable boring-ness of this post.

So proud!
Of myself, of my boys, and of my babies.
Let me elaborate...
# 1: Of myself:
So, Niki (one of my good friends at work) and I threw a baby shower for one of our co-workers, Jessica, yesterday. Just me and Niki. And we planned the whole thing and put it together and pulled it off! Yay! Go us!
One baby shower last weekend for a family friend, one this weekend for Jessica, and one this coming week for one of the respiratory therapists at work. I have spent more money at Babies R Us in the last couple weeks than I planned on. In fact, I would really like to make something for Amy (the therapist) for her shower this week, but I don't know if I will have time. We'll see how that goes...

I'm also proud of myself for starting the stash diet. So, for those of you that aren't familiar... A bunch of us girls from We Scrap Better are trying to not spend money. And do 50 LO's before we buy anything new. Because for real, we all have way more stuff than we will ever use, so why not use it up? So here's LO #1 of the FIFTY!

# 2: Of my boys:
I cannot believe that I have not blogged about this one sooner, but since I haven't, I now have TWO games to brag about. My boys (the Panthers, duh) are 2-0 now. That's right. We have won both regular season games so far. And yea, I realize that we are only week 2, but still. It's not like we are playing the Dolphins team from last year. We have won against the Chargers and the Bears. All without my main boy, Steve Smith. That's something. I don't care what the haters think. LOL
I could really talk about my boys for a while, like Delhomme's game winning touchdown pass with 2 seconds left last week or how we are so a second half team and I shouldn't doubt them when we are down because they came back today... but I don't wanna bore everyone. So if ya wanna talk football, lemme know. I can talk a while... :)
and # 3: Of my babies:
We went to the new dog park yesterday evening with our 3 babies and mom and dad's one baby. And let me brag like a proud mommy and say that they did so good! Titan and Tierra especially. I wasn't really surprised by the puppies because they adapt to anything new. They don't know any different. But Titan and Tierra haven't really been around other dogs much. And they did just fine! We will definitely have to make this a more frequent trip!

Sharing the love (Titan is between Brandon and my dad and Tierra is in front of dad)

Getting acquainted with a new friend....

Jake (the smallest one of the four, playing kinda rough with a bigger dog... he doesn't realize how small he is)

Time to get ready for some Sunday Night Football and then for another fun week at work. Last week I worked nights, and I'm pretty sure I will not do that again. It was horrible. I say now that I won't do that again, but when they are short, and they ask me... I probably will... I can't say no. Anyway, I'm back on days this week and I'm sure this week will be better.
Hope everyone has a GREAT week! :)

Lazy Saturday Night
Sitting at home watching this:
Kevin James "Sweat the Small Stuff."
Good times.
This video, by the way is part one of I think 5 parts and I highly recommend watching all five here:
http://video.aol.com/video-detail/kevin-james-sweat-the-small-stuff-1/3136326692/?icid=VIDURVCOM03
This is part one, but the links to the other parts are on the left side.
Anyway, this week has been fairly busy. Tuesday was mom's birthday and we went out to eat. I also tried out my new running shoes that day and yay for not getting shin splints! I wanna be a runner when I grow up but I was having a hard time running because of those. But my new shoes make me feel like a real athlete. Which, whoever knows me at all knows that that is so not me. But that's the great thing about running. It's just me and the road. I'm not competing with anyone and it's a great way to clear my head and get my thoughts together. I tend to be a little Type A and running helps me deal with stress. So yay for new shoes on so many levels.

These are definitely not as cute as my previous shoes, but I have learned to not buy running shoes based on cuteness. That doesn't work.
So here are some pics from the last couple of weeks:
At the cookout:

Here's the edited one cuz I was bored (which I did on Photobucket, how exciting is that?!?!)

And from Tuesday night when we went out to eat:
Yummy Rum Runner, never had one before, but I will definitely order again!

Oh, and I don't know if you can tell from this pic or not, but this is why I have to go to the allergist next week...

Yep, I'm allergic to Jasmine and I don't know what to do about it. And that is what happens to me when I hold her. :( I have had bad seasonal allergies for as long as I can remember and then became allergic to cats when I was about 12 (after having had cats most of my childhood before that). My Allegra works for seasonal stuff, but definitely not for Jazzy. So now I have an appt w/an allergist next week at 9:00. After I work all night and then I have to work that night, too.
I am such a good employee that I volunteered to work nights next week cuz they are so short. Oh, and I'm throwing a baby shower for a co-worker next week and I am going to try to get something made for her like a mini-album or something. But we will see how that goes. Yea, I'm a good person, lol.
Ok, that's all I've got for tonight. Except you know how the last post I said that I was going to kick Statistic's butt? Yea... I definitely hate it now. One last pic to leave you with of some pretty flowers:

OMG, I ALMOST FORGOT!!!!!!! I am a HUGE dork and I'm sure I will get catch some slack for this, but I don't care. My wonderful sister-in-law Amber and I will be going to Charlotte on October 30th for the New Kids on the Block concert. Yep, that's right. I know you're jealous.

All better!
Yay! I'm feeling much better and had to go to work today. I have been out for a week (just because of how my schedule worked out). The doctor wrote me out of work Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't scheduled back until today.
I also didn't realize that I am working the whole Labor Day weekend. Saturday, Sunday, Monday. So that kinda sucks, but I did get a week off. Although, I think I would have rather been at work and seeing all my friends at work than to be home sick. None of my buddies were at work today and I haven't seen them in a week. :(
School has officially started back and let me just say that I'm going to kick Statistics butt. I had my first assignment due yesterday and I got a 97. That made me excited. It's the little things like that I get excited about. Like having just enough French Vanilla creamer to go in my coffee in the morning. I can't function without my morning coffee.
I had my degree evaluation at school Thursday and I'm about 2 1/2 classes short of what I need to graduate. Which is ok. It just means next semester is gonna suck because I am going to have to take a couple extra classes I wasn't planning on. But I will get it done. I already feel like I'm never going to get done with school, so I can't delay this process any longer. I still have 3 years left as it is now.
Anyway, onto more fun things now. School is definitely going to stiffle my scrapping fire for a while, so that makes me sad, but let me share my mini book that I did when Jen was here that I still haven't posted.

Oh, yea, one last note...
This is the greatest book ever. It's an amazing love story. And it will definitely make you cry.

And this:

better be the best movie ever.
It comes out September 26th. And I can't wait.

I'm siiiiiiick
I feel like crap.
I can't stop coughing.
I can't sleep.
I can't eat anything good.
And I'm very whiny... obviously.
So Saturday started off great. Brandon and I went to the lake with some other couples from our Sunday school class. I got some sun (finally) and did all kinds of atheltic stuff that I have never been (or will ever be) good at. Although, I do have to pat myself on the back for a minute and say that I went kneeboarding. Yea, I know, it's not water skiing or wakeboarding, but those are hard! At least I could actually do kneeboarding. I got up on the second try and it was really fun. Until I wiped out and aspirated half the lake. The other half went in my ears. So yea, that was fun, and I knew for sure that I would be sore the next day from that. But if that wasn't bad enough, I decided to go tubing, too. And what exactly is tubing, you ask? Well, that's where you hold on for dear life to the tube that is hanging by a rope (literally) to the back of the boat that is pulling you along at what you can only assume is like, at least 100 miles an hour. Oh, and the whole time this is going on, I'm riding in the middle of 2 boys. So everytime the tube hit a bump and we would go flying above the tube, they both landed on me. Brandon was the first to fall off (haha!). And then we went again, and that's the time I totally wiped out. The best way to describe it is that I did a cannonball slide across the water. Yea, that sounds about right. Both my elbows are tore up because I held on too long for fear of doing what I inevitably did in the cannonball. Overall though, I have to admit, as horrible as all that sounds, we had a great time.
What I didn't realize until later though was that the headache and sore throat that I woke up with on Saturday was actually something. After the lake, we came home and I took a little 15 minute power nap because my head hurt so bad. Which I attributed to getting my brain tossed about in my head on the tube. Then we went to the cookout and had a great time seeing everyone.
By Sunday night, when the headache-slash-swollen lymphnodes-slash-fever of 101.3-slash-sore throat was no better, I figured I should get that looked into. And now I'm out of work. But for real, I would rather be there now than feeling like this.
Oh, and I do have pictures of me in all my almost Olympics-worthy performance from Saturday that I will post later! I can't give y'all too much excitment in one day, can I?
