Happy today

Because of this >>>>>>

When I got off work this morning, I went to Wal-Mart and picked up the new Rascal Flatts CD that just came out today. I think I was the first one to get it. They were still in the box not even loaded on the shelves yet. I had a long night and wanted to treat myself. The CD is great. I haven't listened to all the songs yet, but what I have heard is awesome.

So what I usually do when I find a new favorite song is I KILL it!!! Obviously, my song right now is the first release off this album "Take Me There." I've listened to it about 10 times today, and Brandon is fussing at me, lol. Interesting fact- Kenny Chesney wrote that song.

There's another song that I like on this album called "Bob That Head." It's funny. Let me also say that the lead singer of Rascal Flatts, Gary LeVox, can freakin sing!!! I love his voice. If you like country music, I highly recommend this CD.

So then when I got home, I changed clothes and took Brandon to the doctor for his follow up appointment for his blood pressure. At 25 years old, he is now going to be on a low-dose blood pressure medication until we run some more tests to see what's going on. The doctor was concerned because of his age, his activity level, and his stress level. None of those combined should make his BP be up like it is. So, we are going to the cardiologist on Thursday for an echocardiogram (the heart doc for an ultrasound of his heart). I don't even know what to think of that... By the way, the cardiologist that the doc set us up with is one that almost cussed me out on Sunday because I had to page him at 2 AM. Good times. Good times.

Also, I have SOOOOOOO much to do before Thursday for class, and now I don't even know if I will be at class depending on what the echo shows. *sigh* I think my blood pressure is up now. AND, I haven't sent out my secret sister stuff for September yet... and September is almost gone. Oh no... I'm gonna get kicked out of the whores...

On the plus side though, (I mean, come on now, there's gotta be an up side, lol) I don't have to be at work again until Saturday night! :)

New, New, New!!! :)

So, I am in love with scalloped paper right now. And I got this paper from my friend Jen (who I really need to call and thank her for all my goodies... I'm a bad friend sometimes...) Anyway, I love this picture of Brandon and his boys at the wedding. It's so casual and nonchalant. And for some reason, all the pics that I have scrapped so far of my wedding are all in black and white, and I really like it, and I'm thinking about making the whole thing black and white. I don't know.

Here's another one. This one was inspired by a challenge to make a shape with words. However, I think the example that was used was a digi LO, and that makes me feel prouder that I actually paper scrapped this. I have a problem with digi stuff though. Cuz I look at it, and think, "Wow, how did they do that????" And then I realize that it's digital, and I think, "Well, that' cheating." So, that being said... here it is:

I freakin' LOVE this LO. I hate to toot my own horn, but I really like how my style is progressing.

Ok, non-scrapbooking related now... what's goin on with me...? Hmm... well, I worked last night, and I wasn't that incredibly busy, so I said to the girls in my unit, "I have GOT to get some studying done tonight!!!" So they made me study! And I actually got a whole chapter read! AND took notes. So, now... I need to go take the test (they are all online) while it is fresh in my head. But I'm getting kinda tired now...

And for the weekend we have coming up, not that much exciting stuff goin on. (Lemme just throw in here that on the way home, while listening to the weather on the radio, they gave today's forecast and then they said Saturday's forecast. And for a split second I thought, "Why are they giving SATURDAY'S forecast on MONDAY??" wow... that's all I can say... wow) But anyway, I'm working tonight, sleeping tomorrow day, and then studying with a girl from school. Good times. Good times.

OMG, I forgot to say that I'm sick :( I have another freakin' UTI! And another antibiotic. If you've never had a UTI, then you have no idea. It's miserable. But I'm feeling a little better with the drugs on board.

On a closing note now... I leave you with a massive amount of pictures. My husband put up some new shelves for me in my scrap area, so I cleaned and organized everything yesterday. I love my space. So, while it's clean, here's some pics:

My new shelves!

The clock is one that I altered. But I can't seem to get a picture without a flash without it being blurry. : /

Last, but not least, the Cricut and the craft table for when my mess overflows off of the desk (which happens everytime!)

Alright, I'm going to bed. Have a great day everyone!!! :)

Tagged!!! I'm it!

So, I have to do 12 interesting things about me now, because I have been tagged twice... so here goes:

1- I hate when gas stations put 8's and 3's on upside down. And while I'm on it, when they run out of 2's and they pretend upside down 5's are 2's like nobody's gonna notice.

2- I love lip gloss. If I am out in public and I don't have any, I have a mini anxiety attack.

3- I wish I liked to clean... but alas... I don't. I love the results of cleaning, but don't like doing it so much. I want a maid.

4- I want to be a photographer when I grow up. And I want a Nikon D40x for Christmas, but I don't think I will get it. Heck, I'd even take the regular D40, but I don't think I'll get that one, either.

5- I need to stop buying scrapbooking stuff... I just need to use what I have now, and I would still be set for like, another 2 or 3 albums, LOL. But I can already think of things that I need. That's right... NEED! :)

6- I love my belly button ring, even as teenager-ish as that is. I'll probably keep it until my belly button pokes out when I get pregnant.

7- I am super excited about the So You Think You Can Dance tour. Less than a month away!!! Woo Hoo!!

8- Little things make me excited, for example, getting coffee at work and finding one last french vanilla creamer makes me happy.

9- I love singing, and for lack of a better, less conceded sounding way of saying it, I'm good at it.

10- My mom is my best friend. I don't know what I am going to do when I don't have her anymore.

11- My job is awesome. Some days (or nights, rather), it seems like just a job. But if I really stop and think about what I do, it's pretty freakin cool.

12- I could eat Italian food everyday. And by "italian food", I mean mainly spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, and especially ziti!

Whew! Glad that's over. Now, onto another random comment... Have you ever mentally freeze framed a moment in your day, and then stepped back and looked at it and said, "This is my life." I did that today. And then I thought... hmm... how do I feel about that?

On a different note, I tried winning tickets today for a concert next Saturday night, and I didn't get them. After listening to the flippin radio for like, 4 hours, I didn't get them! I cried. It's my 2 favorite groups in concert TOGETHER and I'm so sad... (in case you're wondering, it's Little Big Town and Sugarland) *sigh*

I finally took a picture of my new haircut. (With a shot of the back in the mirror... I'm so cool.)

I'm very tired and it's only 9:24. I have a mental problem with going to bed anytime before 11. LOL. So I gotta push through the next hour and a half. What should I do? Study? Nah... Maybe I'll scrap.

Since Wednesday...

I have been pretty busy! Let's start off on a random note... Wednesday morning while watching the news, I got a little depressed. On the weather segment, there were no days over 90 degrees. And they said we were starting to cool down. *sigh* I hate winter. I hate cold weather. And I know we aren't there yet, but it's coming.

Then, later on Wednesday, while I was supposed to be at a class for work, Brandon was in the emergency room, and then I took him to Prime Care. His blood pressure had been up all day, so then we went to Wal-Mart and bought a blood pressure cuff so that we can monitor it for the next two weeks.

Yesterday, not much happened, went to class, took a dumb test, lol. So we'll see how that turns out. I took B's blood pressure about 4 times yesterday... up, up, up, and up. UGH! My 25 year old husband is going to end up on blood pressure medication.

I made my secret sister altered item, and it turned out awesome, even if I do say so myself! I wanna make me one now. I started working on my felt items for a swap, but I wasn't really feeling it, so I went to bed, after watching King of Queens, of course. Which, by the way, they have apparently taken off the second episode of King of Queens, and replaced it with Family Guy. What's up with that???? GRR...

I'm going to try and get some sleep today, because I have to work the next 3 nights. :( Fun weekend ahead for me!

I heart this...

new LO!!! I just keep looking at it everytime I walk by the office! I just love everything about it. It came together better than I even pictured. And that doesn't happen everytime! You will have to excuse the picture... I don't have a cool new 12x12 scanner like some people! Also, gotta love the rockstar paper!!!!:)

So today has been such a productive day! New haircut that I LOVE!! And new color-- love it too!

I cleaned up my scrap area and I desperately need more space! I went on a mission today to look for shelves and a comforter (but I will get to that in a minute). I couldn't find any shelves that I liked, so my money-saving husband suggested some shelves that we have in the 2nd bedroom that I wanted to take down anyway. I think they will work perfect. It's just a matter of getting them up now! Hopefully tomorrow.

I have been working on redecorating the 3rd bedroom for quite a while now... and I finished painting it a couple weeks ago. Let me throw in here that I painted the WHOLE bedroom by myself. Brandon never picked up a brush. Now, I'm not complaining by any means. Most of that time was while he was working in the yard. But I also wanted to do it by myself because:
................#1- I am a little bit of a control freak.
................#2- I wanted to be able to look at it when I was done and say, "Wow, I did that!"
It turned out awesome, but it still needs decorations. So I went in search of the perfect comforter today. And I found it! So that made me happy. Just a plain red comforter- exactly what I wanted. The room is white on top, and black on bottom, separated by a chair rail. With red accents (curtains, comforter, and I'm still looking for a lamp).

I also bought like, 20 black frames at the beginning of the year knowing that I wanted to do this room. This past summer (or is it still summer?-- I always think of September as fall) my aunts made me copies of some really old black and white family pictures. Finally, today, I put these awesome pictures into those black frames. That made me happy, too. Let me just say, this room is gonna ROCK when it's done!! I am so excited about it.

On a more somber note, today is September 11th... and to quote the song that I'm sure has been played over and over today... "Have you forgotten?" It's been 6 years. (Which also means I have been out of high school almost 6 years... I feel old.)

One more thing... I have figured out how to add pictures now (obviously), AND how to add a list! Props to me! :)

I'm such a follower...

So, I was actually looking at a few blogs a couple nights ago, and I thought to myself, "I'm so glad you don't do that, Deah. That's just one more thing to keep up with. If someone wants to know something about me, they can just ask me!" And yet, here I am. *sigh* Jenny JUST made one. And the ironic thing is that while I was thinking all this to myself, I thought, well, she doesn't have one either. And DANG IT!! If she didn't make one. Hence, I become a follower.

My question now becomes, who will read this? Will anyone? What if no one cares? And then I go into some self-pity "nobody likes me, I might as well eat worms." LOL. But who cares right??? I've had some issues lately with trying not to care. I have a very stressful job, and you can't get too attached to patients, because sometimes they die... and as sad as it is, I can't become emotionally involved or i wouldn't be able to do it. Also, I have this "friend" who will not talk to me, and I have no earthly idea why... so I'm really trying to not care. It's her loss. It's hard for me to not care though. I like for people to like me. But as I get older, I am learning to just be happy being me.

OK, now on to some not-so-serious stuff. I have been crazy about some scrapbooking lately! My husband said to me tonight when I was scrapping, "Baby, you really need to start making some more time to scrapbook. You haven't gotten to a lot lately." He is quite the sarcastic one! But the bad thing about being so crazy obsessed??? I just started school back this semester , and I am not putting as much time and effort into it as I could. (And to add to my lack of time, now I'm blogging!) I'm just not really feeling the school thing as much as I thought I would, so I don't know.

On that note, being that I'm not quite sure how to post pics and all that good stuff in here, that's all I have for now!

the randomness that is deah... thoughts, ponderings, and musings... with some scrapping thrown in
